New 'Crash And Bandicoot' Game Seemingly Teased; Reveal Trailer Anticipated At TGA 2022

KEY POINTS

  • Activision seemingly confirmed that "Crash and Bandicoot 4: It's About Time" would release on PC on October 18
  • The video games publisher also teased about a new "Crash and Bandicoot" game announcement
  • The new "Crash and Bandicoot" game has been rumored since June

Following the announcement of "Crash and Bandicoot 4: It's About Time," releasing on PC this month, video games publisher Activision seemingly teased a new series installment, which could be announced at this year's The Game Awards in December.

This new set of interesting details about "Crash And Bandicoot" came from YouTuber Canadian Guy Eh, who received a pizza box via "Aku Aku's Steam-In Pizza Shack" from Activision. In the receipt, one can read the confirmation that "Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is coming to Steam October 18th."

Interestingly, the bottom part of the receipt notes, "Hungry for more? Try out our new Wumpa Pizza for $12.08!" The receipt did not explicitly confirm that a new game announcement is happening soon but gamers think it is suggesting such.

Many speculate that the $12.08 in the receipt is a clever way of saying December 8, which happens to be the date for this year's The Game Awards show. Some say the game could be "Crash bandicoot: The Wumpa League," which was reportedly teased since June.

American video games developer Toys for Bob was rumored to be working on a new "Crash and Bandicoot" game in June. During the Chaturdays podcast, Jez Corden of Windows Central suggested he had knowledge of a new "Crash" title in development at the studio that ade "Crash and Bandicoot 4: It's About Time," including its remake trilogy.

A guest named Rand Al Thor said in the podcast that Toys for Bob could be working on a new "Crash" title, Corden said, "Where did you get that info Rand?" and eventually said, "I wasn't supposed to leak that," seemingly confirming that the information is accurate.

"Crash and Bandicoot" was originally developed by Naughty Dog as an exclusive PlayStation game in 1996. It became popular and had later seen multiple iterations from different gaming studios.

Interestingly, while the latest details about the supposed new "Crash and Bandicoot" title are seemingly accurate, it is worth noting that these are not official. Fans, in this case, should temper their expectations and take this latest information as highly speculative at this stage.
