Coldplay Makes Their Billboard Music Awards Performance Debut From Australia With “All My Love”

Coldplay gave a special performance all the way from Australia for the 2024 Billboard Music Awards.

Straight from their Music of the Spheres World Tour, the band played their recent track, “All My Love,” to mark their BBMAs performance debut.

Martin sat at the piano singing the lyrics, with dim lights in the stadium and the pace starting to slow down, at the song’s midpoint. But, then it picked up again with fans belting the lyrics back to Martin, and bright, colorful visuals emerging to match the atmosphere.

Before the performance began, Coldplay took home the award for top rock touring artist. The band addressed viewers at home in a taped acceptance speech.

“Thank you so much, Billboard for giving us this award — handsomest old man band in the world,” Martin joked. “And we’re so grateful to you all.” They were also nominated for top duo/group.

The “All My Love” director’s cut music video stars Dick Van Dyke and filmed him at his Malibu home as he shares memorabilia he’s collected over the years from his career, family, life and love. In the video, the Mary Poppins actor reflects on getting older and shares why he isn’t afraid of dying. The official music video premieres on Dec. 13, which is Van Dyke’s 99th birthday.

“All My Love” is featured on Coldplay’s tenth studio album, Moon Music, which was released on Oct. 4. It marks the band’s highest opening week in the U.S. since 2015’s A Head Full Of Dreams and is their first Billboard 200 No. 1 since 2014’s Ghost Stories.

Billboard Music Awards producer Dick Clark Productions is owned by Penske Media Eldridge, a joint venture between Penske Media Corporation and Eldridge that also owns The Hollywood Reporter.
