The pharmaceutical landscape is witness to major changes, both globally & in India. From the spread of infectious diseases, the rising burden of non-communicable diseases to the role of technology, especially around leveraging artificial intelligence, is redefining and reshaping the priorities and tools at the disposal of pharmaceutical companies and policy-makers. For India, which sees itself as the pharmacy to the world, the need to move beyond its generics story is inescapable to ensure long-term sustainable growth with a clear focus on high quality.
There are opportunities and gains to be accrued as well as vulnerabilities and challenges to be encountered with changing geo-political dynamics and the equations with China. Running across endeavours to grow in the domestic market and expand global footprint are the elements of scale, quality and innovation.
Against the backdrop of this, the FE Pharma Awards, 2025, is a timely endeavour to recognise, honour and celebrate those in the industry who are taking steps to ready themselves for this ever-changing world. To help in the process of selection of final winners this year, there is an incredible jury with deep and wide expertise.

The jury members include: Dr. Hemant G. Koshia, Commissioner at Food & Drugs Control Administration (FDCA), Gujarat; Sudarshan Jain, Secretary General, The Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance (IPA); Dr K Madan Gopal, Advisor, Public Health Administration, the National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC), a premier Think Tank for MoHFW; Dr Shailaja Tetali, Professor & Dean-Research & Policy Support, The Indian Institute of Public Health (Public Health Foundation of India). She is a physician herself. Then there is also an expert from the manufacturing arena in pharmaceuticals.
The attempt here is to celebrate and honour excellence in the Indian pharmaceutical arena. While Indian pharmaceutical companies are globally recognised for their contribution to the supply of generic medicines and for expanding the reach of medicines, the focus for the awards would be on recognising groundbreaking achievements, transformative leadership, and impactful contributions. The awards are to honour those driving growth and progress in Indian pharma and biotech.
Apart from honouring the winners of the FE Pharma Awards, to be announced later in March in Delhi, another highlight prior to the awards distribution will be some engaging conversations. Some of the finest minds from the pharma firmament will also be sharing insights on the changing landscape and on the new imperatives. The meet will focus on the transition from a surviving strategy that builds on the inherent strengths to a thriving stance with an eye on quality & innovation.
